Our Heritage
Scotts Electrical Services Ltd was founded in 2007 by our Managing Director, Gordon Nixon, continuing over a century of heritage from Hugh J. Scott and Co, established in Belfast in 1900.
From its early years building steam engines for the Admiralty, through to manufacturing motors and supporting NATO satellite ground-stations, the Scott name has always stood for quality, reliability, and innovation.
After decades of growth in contracting and electrical services, Gordon led the development of the Outside Contracting Department, before acquiring it in 2007 and forming Scotts Electrical Services. Since then, we have expanded into high voltage services, battery storage systems, automation, controls, and specialist electrical installations.
Today, Scotts combines its long-standing reputation with modern expertise, operating from Heron Road Industrial Estate in Belfast. With loyal clients across public and private sectors, we continue to deliver trusted solutions built on integrity, technical excellence, and customer commitment.
Management Team
At Scotts, our management team brings together decades of experience across electrical engineering, project delivery, and strategic leadership. With backgrounds spanning high-voltage infrastructure, automation, manufacturing, and specialist contracting, our leadership ensures that every project benefits from both technical expertise and commercial insight.
